How you drive the energy transition forward
In order to ensure the safety of our working environment, we are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer (m/f/d) to further develop our health and safety standards and ensure that all legal and internal regulations are complied with. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Compliance.
Your tasks:
- Development and implementation of occupational health and safety programs: You will develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs for our offices and construction sites that meet legal requirements and improve our internal standards.
- Carrying out risk assessments and hazard analyses: You will identify potential hazards in the workplace (especially on our construction sites), carry out risk assessments and develop risk mitigation measures.
- Training and raising employee awareness in occupational health and safety: You create training programs and conduct regular training for all employees and especially for our site managers in the areas of occupational health and safety in order to raise safety awareness.
- Monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines: You will monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines in the workplace (especially on construction sites), document violations and ensure the immediate implementation of corrective measures.
- Accident investigations and reporting: In the event of accidents at work, you analyze their causes, carry out thorough accident investigations and develop prevention strategies to avoid future accidents.
- Coordination with authorities and internal departments: You are the point of contact for authorities, the employers' liability insurance associations and internal teams regarding occupational health and safety issues and ensure that all legal and internal regulations are complied with.
- Audits and inspections in the area of occupational health and safety: You carry out internal audits and occupational health and safety inspections, compile accident statistics, hazard analyses and risk prevention measures and initiate corresponding improvements.
- Emergency management: You will develop and implement emergency plans for our offices and construction sites, carry out evacuation drills and ensure that these plans are regularly reviewed and improved
What you already bring with you
- Completed studies in safety management, engineering, environmental sciences, training as a master craftsman (“Handwerksmeister”) or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of occupational safety, experience in the solar industry is an advantage
- Comprehensive knowledge of national and international occupational health and safety laws, regulations and standards
- Special qualifications in the field of occupational safety are an advantage (e.g. certification as an occupational safety specialist, technical business economist specializing in occupational safety, certification as a safety engineer or similar)
- High sense of responsibility, assertiveness, and strong communication skills
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Very good written and spoken German and English; knowledge of Bulgarian or Russian is an advantage
