We are looking for an experienced DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will participate in building a completely new system. You’ll get to work on designing, provisioning and maintaining infrastructure, automating build and deployment, and setting up monitoring of infrastructure and applications. We’re looking for someone who can contribute to the infrastructure design and technology selection, someone who values elegant solutions to complex problems, someone who likes to automate everything, and won’t tolerate mediocre results.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and tear down
- Create DevOps and GitOps solutions to build and deploy applications
- Setup monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications
- Ensure best practices of managing secrets and configuration
- Stay on top of technology trends and always look for ways to improve
What We Look For In You:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven experience in DevOps or GitOps, deploying applications to production, experience with GitLab is highly desirable
- Experience provisioning Kubernetes clusters and deploying to Kubernetes
- Experience coding non-trivial scripts in a proper programming language, preferably Python
- Experience provisioning AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code approach, preferably Terraform
- Experience setting up monitoring tools, such as Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, or VictoriaMetrics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Focus on automation and avoidance of any manual steps
- Desire to drive change and improvement, and to stay on top of the latest technology trends
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with GitOps and tools like ArgoCD, experience building and optimizing Docker containers, experience with Kustomize and Helm Charts
- Experience with multiple deployment strategies and rolling upgrades in Kubernetes
- Experience with additional monitoring tools, like Vector, and experience with service mesh tools like Istio and Eager
- Experience working with data, knowledge of databases, SQL, and Python Pandas or Polars libraries
