We are seeking a Senior Inventory and Forecasting Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory levels, as well as providing accurate forecasts for our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the European e-commerce industry, preferably in industrial and gastronomy products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage inventory levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify any shortages and ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
- Develop and implement accurate inventory forecasting models to anticipate demand and avoid stock-outs or overstock situations in a high mix low volume market. This includes the ability to anticipate upcoming market changes and adjust forecasts and parameters settings accordingly.
- Work closely with Marketing & Sales teams to align inventory forecasting with business goals.
- Ensure inventory is available according to sales expectations and balanced to meet cash flow requirements.
- Proactively assess the market and the competition and propose changes and adaptions in the supply chain strategy to anticipate market demands with the goal to be ahead of any competition.
- Integrate well with the Procurement team that drives and manages relationships.
- Proactively communicate with the C-Suite team to keep them informed about inventory levels, forecasts, and any potential risks or opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING IN
- Extensive product knowledge in industrial and gastronomy products.
- Technologically savvy, with experience in using warehouse management systems, inventory tracking software (proficiency in Python programming is a huge asset).
- Proven experience in inventory management and forecasting in the e-commerce industry.
- Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Business/Administration.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS, PMP, PMI, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or SCM would be a plus.
- Excellent record-keeping abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and on all levels including C-suite.
- Experience in working with products and supply chain from Asia is a plus.
