This is a key strategic hire for expondo’s product team. We believe the post-purchase experience is where you convert “transactions” into loyal customers who will come back for repeat business or act as an extension of our marketing team and tell their communities about us — two important objectives required for us to diversify away from rising performance marketing costs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identify how to position the post-purchase experience in a way that drives our objectives of creating a loyal customer base
- Identify and close gaps in the current post-purchase experience to deliver this positioning
- Drive business case approval to onboard new tooling that will enable you to deliver desired experiences
- Lead digital experiences including order fulfilment, product usage, returns, service, and advocacy stages of the customer journey
- Help mature the product operations within expondo’s Digital Product team and act as a coach and mentor to other Product Managers
- Evangelize across an organization how to work with Product Managers; primarily outcome vs. output mindset, the need for discovery, and prioritization
WHAT YOU BRING IN
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, ideally with either people management or people coaching experiences.
- Product discovery: You have an arsenal of product discovery techniques and strong business acumen to help you identify the intersection of unmet customer needs to solve that will help us achieve business goals. You are comfortable with running customer interviews, pulling together journey analytics directly from toolings, or setting up experiments to help make informed product decisions.
- Product delivery: You feel creating problem based roadmaps is an obvious method to manage and prioritize the gaps your product needs to work on. You prefer delivering incremental business value frequently over large releases and mastered the art of breaking problems down into bite-sized chunks. In collaboration with design and engineering, making trade-off decisions enabling you to take your features to market earlier is just another day to you.
- Passion for product: As a passionate product practitioner, you love problems over solutions and enjoy championing a problem-solving mindset across teams, guiding teams to validate the 4 risks of product. You constantly challenge the status quo and ideally helped establish product operations and processes from scratch.
