Scope of the Job

As Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/d), you will be the technical lead for FERNRIDE's entire Cybersecurity architecture of our products and services. You will improve the Cybersecurity level of our product features and engineering processes, and you will be an ambassador for security-aware engineering in our company.

Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment.
  • Cybersecurity requirements engineering and classification of risk on components.
  • Creation of a cybersecurity plan for our teleoperating system.
  • Definition of cybersecurity quality measures and coordination with engineering managers to implement them during development.
  • Preparing and executing cybersecurity audits, penetration tests, and other external assessments of our products and processes.
  • Identification of training needs and organisation of internal cybersecurity training. 


  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or other fields applicable to Security or Cybersecurity.
  • Several years of profound working experience as a Cyber Security Analyst within a distributed product deployment (embedded components/field components, over-the-air connectivity, cloud and enterprise SW deployments).
  • Expert with Norms and Standards: ISO 27001, ISO/SAE 21434.
  • Expert in Security Requirements Engineering and Verification.
  • Outstanding practical experience with methods and technology to secure electronic communications.
  • Proven track record with identity and access management of electronic systems.
  • Knowledge about Cybersecurity in operating systems (Linux preferred) and compute hardware.
  • Knowledge about Cybersecurity-related challenges for the C++ programming language.
