WHAT YOU WILL DO
About the role
As a teleoperator / safety truck driver for internal transport (m/f/d), you will safely remotely control trucks with trailers and a total load of up to 40 tons from hundreds of kilometers away.
How does it work? With Fernride's teleoperation software, camera images from the vehicle are transmitted to your teleoperator workstation in real time. At your teleoperator workstation, you have several monitors and various controls (steering wheel, pedals, etc.) with which you can control the truck remotely. In the test operation, you will also sit in the truck as a security driver to monitor the system and intervene in an emergency. As a team (teleoperator & security driver) you will carry out internal transfers to logistics yards and production areas.

- Remote control of trucks on private property (company, ports and logistics yards) as a teleoperator.
- Monitoring remote-controlled trucks on private property (company, ports and logistics yards) as a safety driver.
- Communication with the safety driver in the vehicle or teleoperator (teamwork).
- Intervene by activating the emergency brake in dangerous situations as a safety driver.
- Support in the continuous improvement of the teleoperator workstation and the software.
- Documenting the trips and describing irregularities.
What you will bring to the team?
- Valid driving license (Class C, CE, and/or T).
- Several years of professional experience as a truck driver.
- Good verbal and written expression ( German or English).
- Ability to work in a team, reliability, resilience, flexibility, independence and a high level of motivation.
- IT affinity and practiced use of google apps and similar tools.
