What will you do?

The Supply Chain Management team owns the commercial relationships within our global supply base working side by side with engineering, operations, and finance. Key deliverables for our team include negotiated and executed commercial agreements, such as Engineering, Design, and Test (ED&T) agreements, unit pricing, lead-time commitments, and licensing arrangements. To effectively execute these responsibilities, the team is composed of individuals who possess a combination of commercial acumen and deep technical expertise in automotive system architecture, sensor technologies, and high-performance compute.

Leave your footprint by:

  • Developing key supplier relationships and acting as point of contact for all commercial issues
  • Leading the vendor selection process in partnership with hard- and software engineering teams
  • Creating RFQs, evaluate quotations and developing sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical parameters.
  • Driving competition into the supply base and developing accurate should-cost models and aggressive price targets 
  • Monitoring global industry trends and track technology roadmaps
  • Negotiating favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and engineering services
  • Managing supplier development timelines, part availability for prototype builds and developing solutions to delays or problems that arise

What you will bring to the team?

  • BA/BS or equivalent in engineering or supply chain. MS/MBA preferred
  • Several years of experience in end-to-end supply chain / sourcing management (e.g., technical or strategic purchasing, supplier quality, etc.)
  • Full working proficiency in German and English 
  • Experience leading negotiations with automotive sensor suppliers, contract manufacturers, and/or semiconductor suppliers
  • Understanding of the different types of sensors used in autonomous vehicles, including lidar, radar, and camera sensors, and the strengths, limitations, and cost drivers of each type
  • In-depth experience drafting and reviewing legal agreements (Request for Quote, NDA, Master Service Agreement, Statement of Work, Software Licensing Agreement, etc.)
  • Prefer candidates with experience in establishing supply chains for both prototype environments and large-scale manufacturing
