What you will work on
As a (Senior) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager (m/f/d), you will work on important finance processes, such as budgeting and forecasting, as well as play a key role in creating our financial planning and analysis landscape. Together with the Head of Finance, you will support the senior management and board in decision-making to reach our company goals. You will also improve our existing and establish new finance and reporting processes. In this key role, you will report directly to the Head of Finance and will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of a start-up transitioning from the early- to growth phase.
How you will leave your footprint
- Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule.
- Build integrated financial models from scratch and improve existing models to capture complex business dynamics and drive financial forecasting, scenario planning, and KPI analysis.
- Act as a sparring partner for the Head of Finance, CCO/CFO, and our senior management team concerning the financial steering of the company.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate decision-making.
- Play a key role in setting up and iterating monthly management reporting and budget planning.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop, monitor, and maintain financial and operational KPIs.
- Support accounting in the preparation of month-end closings and annual financial statements.
- Be a finance business partner to individual business units.
What you will bring to the team
- Degree in Business, Management, Finance, and Accounting or comparable qualification.
- MBA from a top 10 business school is a strong plus
- 3+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Big4, or FP&A/Controlling role in a "Big Tech" company or high-growth start-up.
- Profound knowledge in financial modeling and business case development.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills combined with the ability to drive projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English (must) and German (strong plus).
- Profound knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel & PowerPoint).
- Excellent business judgment, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision.
- Good team player, with a humble yet ambitious attitude.
