The Role / Position Overview
Money-Media, a fast growing division of the FT, is a profitable subscription-based content and data provider which delivers news and intelligence for specialized businesses through their extensive suite of products.
Come join a growing sales team responsible for selling corporate licenses / company-wide subscriptions for a leading industry news service.
The B2B Sales Executive will have monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals they are expected to meet. This person will have the responsibility for bringing in new business through proactive outbound prospecting, follow-up on leads from marketing, and leads obtained at conferences or other types of networking. They will also be responsible for relaying market feedback to help improve the sales and marketing process.
This New York-based position will require heavy telesales, webinar presentations, attending industry conferences and meetings.
Required Skills / Experience
Minimum of 2-year successful track record in sales
Corporate subscription/publishing sales experience a plus
Strong experience in relationship building
Experience attending conferences and trade shows, working meeting rooms and developing a good rapport with prospects
Experience conducting demonstrations/presentations in person and online
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to both identify and contact key decision makers
High comfort level selling to senior level executives
Ability to close by telephone, email and in person
Strong and consistent follow-up skills
Ability to learn and properly use SalesForce
Ability to conduct research and utilize marketing data effectively in the sales process
Positive, can-do, hands on approach when faced with obstacles to success
