Money-Media seeks a Research Manager who will oversee the creation of short surveys targeting segments of our audiences. The Research Manager will then oversee the production of brief research reports that will appear in Ignites and other Money-Media publications.
The successful candidate will coordinate with the Researcher and Data Visualization Lead and managing editors to devise ideas for timely topics and with the data visualization tech lead to present research findings. The research team leader will also coordinate with the operations team to effectively target relevant respondents and ensure sufficient levels of responses.
The Research Manager will also oversee award programs including the annual Financial Advisor IQ Service Awards and these programs’ respective research deliverables. The Research Manager may lead occasional group discussions and/or moderate conference panels or webinars based on our research.
- The successful candidate will Identify interesting topics for research
- Write valid research questionnaires
- Possess strong Excel skills
- Identify the appropriate target audience for each research topic
- Parse and interpret data
- Learn and understand the inner workings of the wealth and asset management industry (prior knowledge of this industry a big plus)
- Build a network of external industry contacts to help generate ideas, insight and/or gut-checks
- Work well in a team environment, coordinating across departments
