The Role / Position Overview

As a member of the Financial Times’ Global Human Resources team, the Talent Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition Specialist in all recruitment activities ranging from sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. This career opportunity is perfect for someone who wants to kick start their career in talent acquisition and join a highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sources applicants (entry-level and fixed-term roles) using various channels such as Jobstreet and LinkedIn
  • Conducts CV sifting and initial screening calls for vacancies
  • Schedules and coordinates interviews between the candidates and the hiring team
  • Tracks and monitors submission of pre-employment requirements of the applicants
  • Initiates background checks for relevant positions
  • Coordinates with the company nurse regarding the pre-employment medical examination schedules and status of the new employees
  • Coordinates with third-party partners (i.e. AMS and Sterling RISQ) regarding the status of new starters 
  • Maintains proactive and up-to-date communication with new starters to improve candidate experience
  • Confirms with the business and the enabling team (i.e. Service Desk, HR Services, Facilities, and Reception) once pre-employment medical examination results are received
  • Provides support to the Global Talent team (Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development) in administrative tasks 
    • Scheduling and coordinating of learning programs
    • Managing team's training calendar 
    • Setting up evaluation templates on the learning management system
    • Pulling up training feedback reports from the learning management system
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Skills/ Experience


  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or equivalent
  • Open to fresh graduate applicants looking to kick off their career in recruitment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders across business areas and regions
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely manner
  • Open to working in hybrid-remote working arrangements in a mid-shift schedule


  • Knowledge of working with HRIS systems such as Workday
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Jobstreet, LinkedIn, and Greenhouse
