The Role / Position Overview

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to provide reward advice to HR Business Partners and other stakeholders on salary benchmarking requests, lead the annual data submission to compensation vendors (e.g. WTW, Paydata), facilitate annual reward initiatives, support the job profiling and total reward framework project. This role is reporting to the HR Data, Insights & Reward Manager who is based in London.  This role sits within the FT’s Global HR Services team with team members based across Manila, China, HK, US, Bulgaria and UK.

Key accountabilities:

  • Be a knowledge expert on compensation benchmarking data, ensuring that timely and accurate data is provided to the HRBPs, Talent Acquisition Team and relevant stakeholders in the business.
  • Play a leading role in supporting the global salary market benchmarking process. Maintain a relationship with, provide insight into, and research alternative salary data vendors.
  • Participate in relevant compensation surveys for pay and benefits benchmarking reports.
  • Provide accurate details of regional cost of living, inflation and average external annual pay increases to enable FT to stay competitive in the market places in which operates.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the external compensation market through training, reading, attendance at compensation forums and participation in ad hoc surveys.
  • Facilitate key reward initiatives including but not limited to the annual salary review and AIP scheme. 
  • Assisting with the implementation of global job profiles and pay banding.
  • Facilitate and enable the FT to achieve its target of greater pay transparency through support and establishment of a global pay structure.
  • Support overall reward projects and initiatives as needed.
