The Role / Position Overview

Financial Accountant

Department: Finance

Responsible To: Assistant Finance Manager

Brief summary of role:

Handle all accounting and compliance aspects of work for the FT entities in Hong Kong and Singapore.

In this role you’ll:

  • Handle full set of account to ensure timely completion of all month-end and year end closing activities
  • Analyse and correct discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger and compliance on an ongoing basis
  • Provide insightful and analytical analysis on GL accounts
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Prepare forecast and budget for assigned Cost Centers
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement enhancement to strengthen financial controls
  • Handle GST/Corporate tax filing and statutory audit to ensure full compliance of statutory requirements
  • Manage working capital across multiple legal entities
  • Coordinate with Group Accounting Services team in Manila for AP related matters and assist in solving queries from stakeholders      
  • Assist in ad hoc finance related projects
  • Perform other functions as required

You'll bring to the role....

  • Degree holder in Accounting or related disciplines
  • Membership of HKICPA or equivalent qualification in professional institutions
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting/auditing
  • Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office such as Words and Excel
  • Detail-minded with strong sense of responsibility, willingness to learn and strike for improvement
  • Work both independently with limited supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written 
  • Experience in Oracle is a plus
  • Immediate availability is preferred
