The Role / Position Overview

A senior leadership role that supports and enables Alpha Grid’s shift from a production delivery function to a strategic content creation and service partner.

The Head of Client Servicing, Sales and Marketing will act as a key strategic advisor to senior team and work with the business to influence how Alpha Grid faces and operates in the market

Lead and develop a team that helps the business deliver our new vision, goals and objectives.

Grow team capabilities and provide opportunities and stretch goals that set team members up for success

Develop and execute strategies to drive maturity and consistency in marketing & sales approaches  e.g.

  • Owning the  client relationship and sales strategies, Alpha Grid’s profile and reputation, and develops an effective client service strategic approach and  ways of working. 

  • Oversees the development of  new marketing & sales tools, assets and upskilling mechanisms for the whole company

This is global leadership, strategy and execution role with local oversight (as relevant).


Key Responsibilities

Client Servicing:

  • Driving the new client-centric approach - developing our client experience playbook and owning relationships with key (external) clients and internal stakeholders (Strategies, Live, Longitude). 

  • Delivering excellence in direct client services to enable retention and growth.

  • Client advocacy, retention and growth - relationship management & satisfaction

  • Client service delivery & servicing playbook


  • Architect of AG proposition development and external articulation and profile - overseeing marketing and communication to create and help convert market demand

  • AG profile and reputation

  • AG GTM sales materials & collateral


  • Development of an ambitious sales organisation, aligned with new purpose and vision, to drive business growth and revenues amongst new clients

  • Target sector prioritisation and strategic approach and conversion plan linked to capabilities and demonstrable expertise and relevance

  • Creation and leadership of sales workflow, pipeline, prospecting & CRM system 

  • Proactive and reactive proposal development / input

  • New business target delivery and sales reporting


Required Skills / Experience 

  • Experience in creating sales strategy and leading a successful business development team

  • Gravitas, influence and market profile - a respected client partner

  • Leadership of client servicing teams and direction of other resources

  • Sophisticated understanding of B2B marketing and how content businesses go to market with a broad knowledge of the relevant products and services 

  • Knowledge of key marketing and sales trends and best practices to support the AG growth vision

  • Ability to liaise, influence and challenge effectively across all levels of leadership as well as at peer group and team level.

  • An inspiring conductor and enthusiastic member of the orchestra

  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and teaching skills

  • Forge positive relationships across FT network and stakeholders

  • Proven track record across commercial areas,  budget management,  results driven

  • Leadership and management of the Senior Business Development Manager, the Head of Client Services and the marketing and communications manager
