Brief summary of role:

Handle all accounting and compliance aspects of work for the FT entities in Hong Kong and Singapore.

In this role you’ll:

  • Be responsible for full set of account to ensure timely completion of all month-end and year end closing activities
  • Analyse and correct discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger and compliance on an ongoing basis
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation, provide insightful and analytical analysis on GL accounts, and prepare forecast and budget for assigned Cost Centers
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset record and perform annual Fixed Asset count
  • Liaise with external auditors and internal/or external tax representatives for statutory audit and GST/Corporate tax filing to ensure full compliance of statutory requirements
  • Review Transfer Pricing computation to ensure the correct execution of FT intragroup services agreement
  • Maintain and ensure lease and sublease calculations are in compliance with IFRS16
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement enhancement to strengthen financial controls
  • Coordinate with Group Accounting Services team in Manila for finance related matters and assist in solving queries from stakeholders    
  • Participate or lead in ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned
  • Support credit control functions to meet collection target
  • Coach and develop junior staff
  • Perform other functions as required

You'll bring to the role....

  • A technically strong qualified accountant with an audit background
  • Experience in a similar senior accountant role with major multinational preferred
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and Tax in Asia region
  • Self-starter who is motivated to work under own initiative, positive and hands-on attitude, detail-minded, curious and with strong sense of responsibility, willingness to learn, strike for improvement and with analytical and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong organisational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and able effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of an
  • A team player who can build and maintain effective working relationship across the business community
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Fluent in English with proficiency in Mandarin is as added advantage
  • Hands on experience in project management
  • Proficient in Oracle and knowledge in MS Office is a plus
  • Immediate availability is preferred
