FT Specialist is the B2B information division of the FT. The Role

As the Strategy Programme Manager for FT Live you will be at the heart of delivering key business transformation programmes. This includes ensuring that product initiatives are executed, key technology is implemented and optimised to drive the businesses ongoing transition to digital and continued growth and the business’ processes are kept tight, ensuring efficiency and consistency are at the centre of everything we do. You will work closely with the Managing Director and rest of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver these initiatives as well as building relationships with other stakeholders within the Financial Times organisation including product and technology, editorial and subscriptions. You will also be responsible for managing key supplier and partnership relationships, particularly with our key third party technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, structuring and leading a series of programmes (as defined by the Managing Director and Head of Strategy) relating to FT Live’s divisional strategy

  • Ensuring high quality of delivery across all programmes

  • Ensuring that programmes are managed to realise business benefits and that business management is informed on progress

  • Responsible for maintaining communications with a multifunctional stakeholder base

  • Responding to changes in the businesses operating environment and ensuring all programmes are aligned with these changes

 

Required Skills / Experience 

  • Strong project/programme management and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of business analysis

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including understanding and execution of business cases and P&L accounts

  • Strong planning, communication and presentation skills

  • Exemplary stakeholder management skills

  • Extensive experience operating autonomously across multiple teams

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership

  • A strong ability to prioritise multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in a commercial media (preferably events) environment preferred

  • MBA desirable
