Position overview:

A Content Producer with experience in video and digital projects at a publisher, broadcaster or content agency - ideally with some experience in the branded content space working with external clients as well as internal stakeholders. You’ll be working closely with our executive producers, writers, digital designers, developers and production team to carry various projects from ideation through to completion, including but not limited to: documentary shorts, animations, podcasts, digital interactives, events and articles. 

Keys responsibilities 

  • Manage the end-to-end production process on multiple campaigns, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Act as client and content lead on campaigns, developing professional relationships with clients, leading status calls and confidently discussing content ideas 

  • Write creative briefs for designers and developing video scripts

  • Direct video shoots and post production – this may require travel and flexible working hours

  • Ensure the content supports the client’s brand goals while upholding the values of the Financial Times

  • Maintain budgets and timelines throughout productions to be able to anticipate any issues and ensure accuracy in reporting

  • Multitask and troubleshoot on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Review, test, and proofread content before sending to clients

  • Stay up to date on global business trends and FT trending topics

  • Commission and work with journalists, animators, talent and other freelance specialists

  • Ensure all necessary rights are acquired and paperwork is in place for the complete delivery of productions

  • Actively contribute to Alpha Grid’s positive working culture by being a team player 

Required skills/Experience 

  • At least four years experience working as a producer in an editorial and/or a branded content environment

  • A strong understanding of what makes a good story and how to tell it across different platforms

  • An understanding and interest in current affairs, business news and branded content

  • Adept at content research, scripting and sourcing stories

  • A deep knowledge of video production, and the ability to clearly brief freelance crew, editors and motion graphics specialists

  • The ability to communicate fluently with both digital designers and developers 

  • Day-to-day experience working with brand guidelines and PM production tools such as slack, monday.com and basecamp

  • Proven experience in producing creative campaigns, from idea to delivery

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail, and comfortable working to tight targets and deadlines

  • A team player with the ability to communicate in a respectful and kind manner, particularly under time constraints

  • Proficient writing skills
