The Role / Position overview

An exciting opportunity to join the Financial Times’ Commercial Marketing team. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and support advertising sales teams across EMEA B2B and APAC within FT Commercial, the advertising division of the FT Group. The Marketing Executive has the remit to deliver high-quality B2B marketing campaigns and to support multiple sales teams across a range of sectors including Technology, Energy, Industry, Pharmaceuticals, Professional Services, Legal, Governments, and NGOs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing and tracking advertiser-facing lead generation campaigns across multiple channels including email, owned, and paid social (mainly Linkedin).

  • Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager to implement and, manage client-facing events in the UK & Asia (both in-person and virtual). These may be client entertainment opportunities, media/marketing discussions, research briefings, or macroeconomic/political briefings. 

  • Creating market-leading sales materials such as media kits, credential decks, and case studies, and supporting the development of winning client proposals in collaboration with the relevant sales teams.

  • Briefing campaign’ creative assets and marketing collaterals to the in-house design studio, overseeing brand compliance, and managing delivery within the agreed time frames.

  • Updating the internal sales resource website in a timely manner, ensuring the latest collateral is available for the global sales team to access. 

  • Keeping the FT Commercial website site up to date.

Required Skills / Experience 

  • A proven track record (~2-3 years) in a commercially-focused Marketing role.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects working with different stakeholders, ensuring all deadlines are met and service levels are maintained.

  • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Self-starter with high energy and the ability to build relationships with the willingness to take the initiative and suggest improvements to current work practices.

  • Branding and copywriting skills.

  • Must be savvy in email marketing (paid Linkedin and paid search would also be an advantage) with reporting and analytics skills.

  • Demonstrable capability with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Google Slides and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in using CRM and marketing automation tools is desirable (preferably Salesforce and Pardot).

  • Focused on performance marketing, data-driven, with a strong interest in marketing trends.

  • A meticulous eye for detail.


  • Graduate or professional qualification in Marketing.

  • Exposure to and knowledge of media/advertising/publishing.
