Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join the B2B Data Insights team. The B2B Customer Journey Analyst will have a curiosity for interrogating data, an eye for detail and an understanding of the value of storytelling with data.
The B2B Customer Journey Analyst will be responsible for supporting the B2B department (Marketing, Customer Success and Sales) in their reporting and analysis needs, both through directly providing this support in the querying and building of data views and also through the development of data models to better understand the B2B customer journey. The role-holder will provide actionable insights to colleagues across B2B. This will involve taking data sources and combining acute business knowledge to shape the findings. You will be transforming insights into easy-to-understand data visualisations/presentations/recommendations to the end stakeholder.
The B2B Customer Journey Analyst will also work closely with the Customer Analytics team and benefit from being part of the large data/analytics community within the FT. The successful analyst will be expected to hit the ground running with the ability to swiftly understand the B2B data model and organisational context.
What you will be responsible for

Build and maintain a model for B2B that supports ambitious growth. Analysing accounts & users by territory, industry, etc., including:

Analysing the end-to-end B2B customer journey to understand growth drivers and risks.

Identifying growth opportunities.

Identifying risks
-

Work with the Head of Data Insight (B2B) and the B2B Leadership team to review, agree and maintain metrics and benchmarks to use throughout the B2B customer journey both at operational and strategic levels.

Work with the Head of Data Insight (B2B) and the B2B Leadership team to build robust data model insights, including:
-
Facilitating better targeting and timing of customer interactions throughout the lifecycle.

Support the Marketing team in identifying the potential of specific accounts, markets, by geography and/or sector, to help with the allocation of marketing investment in order to maximise acquisition and growth.

Carry out regular analysis of the external environment and competitors to identify gaps, risks and opportunities to the B2B offer.

Assist the Customer Analytics team on more complex projects using B2B data.
You'll bring to the role....
Essential
-
3+ years of Analyst experience
-
Thorough, inquisitive, innovative, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking

Self-motivated, with the ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong commercial acumen

Talent or experience working across business areas; adaptable to different contexts and able to reach across organisational silos

Exposure to working with a wide variety of data sets

The ability to manage stakeholder expectations

Experience leading analytics projects

Excellent presentation and communication skills - able to present complex data and analytical findings to audiences of varying technical backgrounds.

Proven SQL skills and Advanced Excel skills
Desirable

Skills in Salesforce, Looker or other analytics tools

Experience working in a subscription/media-based business

Experience in B2B sales & account growth

Experience in data visualisation and familiarity with techniques.

Educated to a degree level.
