The Role / Position Overview

The Banker provides economic and financial intelligence for the world's financial sector and has built a reputation for objective and incisive reporting. It offers an unrivalled combination of authoritative news, features, surveys and heavyweight interviews and is essential reading for CEOs, CFOs, corporate treasurers, central bank governors and financial regulators.

As The Banker’s Investment Banking and Capital Markets Editor, you will be covering the world’s capital markets in depth, looking at new trends in debt and equity, M&A, derivatives and structured products. You will be interviewing bankers at the top level in their field. You will be striving to stimulate and inform readers with interesting features, analysis, data stories, videos and awards connected to investment banking.

Required Skills / Experience 

• Experienced journalist wanting to grow in a multimedia environment
• Inquisitive and eager to engage with compelling content
• Self-motivated and innovative
• Significant editorial experience
• First class writing and editing skills
• Strong banking and capital markets knowledge
• Strength in data analysis
• Willingness to travel.
