First Digital is seeking a proactive and collaborative Operations Manager to join our growing team in London, UK. Reporting to the deputy COO, you will become intimately familiar with First Digital Group’s financial services offering and contribute to the development, improvement and maintenance of the procedures and processes covering multiple business functions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring processes are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with organisational goals. The ideal candidate must be tech and financial services product-savvy, customer and process-oriented, and eager to join an entrepreneurial, high-pace company.

Responsibilities: 

  •  Develop a comprehensive understanding of our core service offering and the underlying operational and service delivery processes, dependencies and needs.
  • Monitor and assess service delivery operations and the processes involved in it - conduct regular meetings to ensure organisation's goals and SLAs are being met and that teams are facilitated collaboratively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, partner integrations, technology upgrades and automation; implement relevant solutions as needed.
  • Lead discovery and develop standard operating procedures for bespoke service offerings and complex multi-product client solutions.
  • Partner with Client Services, Back Office Operations and Technology teams to resolve operational and service delivery challenges that arise during client/partner onboarding, integration, or during the relationship.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOP) training programs, workflows and operations manuals for employee education and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or project management role, preferably within the high-growth fintech company or in finance industry (the seniority level of the position depends on your experience).
  • Deep understanding of financial services such as servicing or management of financial assets, payment services or keeping assets in custody or trust and managing them to generate a return.
  • Deep technical knowledge or ability to quickly gain that knowledge on the following subjects of blockchain and digital assets.
  • Affinity for or a strong interest in technical and operational processes with a strong focus on scalability; you will also actively seek the answers to what you don’t know
  • Sound organisational and time management skills; ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Great sense of responsibility, take ownership for your work, get a sense of achievement from solving a problem and helping others.
  • Ability to adapt and learn as business strategies evolve and new products are introduced.
