About The Team
We’re a small, friendly and focused People Ops team of two who endeavour to support the incredible team of 140 employees we have at Five. We are looking for a Head of People Operations to join us on a 9-12 month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. You’ll be reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with our executive team, managers and Bosch colleagues as part of our integration. You’ll be based at our Cambridge office, but we’re currently working flexibly. We’d be looking for you to start early November for a handover ahead of maternity leave beginning in December.
What you will do
You will be joining Five at a really exciting phase in our growth as we integrate with Bosch. You’ll work closely with our colleagues at Bosch on the HR and Culture workstreams. You’ll ensure a smooth integration that creates a winning formula from the best of the combined Bosch and Five efforts, ensuring that we have the right environment (culture, people and processes) in place to attract, motivate and retain talent at Five and to lead to success.
As the Head of People at Five, you’ll have a generalist remit, operating strategically and operationally. You’ll have the responsibility of owning and delivering the People Ops strategy and roadmap to deliver an amazing experience throughout the employee lifecycle that will consider Five’s current and future needs.
- You have experience working in start-ups at a similar level and ideally with integrations.
- Good working knowledge and experience of UK employment legislation and the application of this.
- You possess broad, up-to-date, relevant HR knowledge (compliance, compensation, employment law, employee relations, talent management and performance management).
- You’re comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- You have exceptional attention to detail.
- You’re highly organised and a flexible team player with excellent prioritisation and strong follow-up skills.
- You’re approachable and empathetic, with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- You possess good IT skills.
