This is an onsite job working Monday - Friday, 1pm - 10pm PKT at our  Tariq Center, Tariq Rd office

 

 

 

About this role…

  • We are looking for a product designer to join our team and help us to build world-leading experiences for our clients.

  • Product designers at Flipdish play a hands-on role in working closely with both clients and consumers, to help understand and solve their problems every day.

In this job, you’ll…

  • Collaborate with our restaurant optimisation team on our Point of Sale product working on initiatives that ‘Make our clients lives easier’. This team is a cross-functional team including product managers, developers, and marketers and you will be responsible for ensuring user-centered design throughout our lifecycle.
  • Conduct User Research and leverage Design Thinking skills to really get under the skin of our clients problems when running a busy restaurant and identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation.
  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our Point of Sale product and create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs aligned with our brand and style guidelines.
  • Work closely with our product squad to ensure efficient implementation of user-centered design principles.
  • Conduct usability tests and iterate designs based on feedback.
  • Oversee the design life cycle from concept to post-launch optimization.
  • Be building our POS design system from scratch, ensuring consistency and quality across our Point of Sale product but also ensuring alignment with our broader product suite and rebrand.
  • Contribute to strategic and tactical decisions within the wider product and design team.
  • Champion accessibility and customer-centricity in the experiences we build.
  • Help to build a strong design culture across our organisation.



We’re looking for… 

  • User Research and Design Thinking skills
  • Proven experience designing successful products that solve real problems.
  • Experience working with and developing a design system.
  • Visual Design and User Experience (UX) skills
  • Experience in creating, designing, and maintaining user Interfaces of web/software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • An understanding of service design and and service thinking
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent digital product design skills with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability and experience playing both leading and supporting roles within a multi disciplinary product squad.
  • Experience of working with Lean UX and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong prototyping skills.
  • Familiarity with effective discovery processes including research, experiment design, journey mapping.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and outcome-focused approach to work.
