About the role.
Fresco is looking for an experienced public relations leader to join the Marketing Team. Reporting to our CMO and working closely with our Head of Communications and Brand Marketing, the PR Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of Fresco’s public relations and thought leadership strategies. This is a unique opportunity to be the first in-house PR expert at Fresco and shape the PR strategy for the business. 

Fresco is based in Dublin but this role is remote-friendly. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the end-to-end PR and thought leadership strategies, plans, and tactics to support company goals and initiatives.
  • Act as strategic advisor to leadership and internal stakeholders as it relates to media relations and communications strategies; set and manage expectations with internal stakeholders
  • Bring, develop, and nurture relationships with media. Target, pitch, and deliver top-tier and industry publications. 
  • Proactively create media opportunities for the company and solutions to comment on relevant industry topics and trends.
  • Create awareness around our story and solutions, and how the company is evolving.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, Engineering, external partners, etc) on coordinated campaigns, events, and launches.
  • Develop and implement media relations strategies for the company’s products and services during launches and events, including a crisis management strategy when necessary
  • Effectively position the leadership team and key stakeholders as thought leaders and spokespeople on topics such as smart kitchen technology, AI, smart recipes, Matter, and IoT, and identify speaking/media opportunities for them.
  • Develop and nurture a network of key opinion leaders (KOLs). Identify and manage collaboration opportunities with KOLs to augment Fresco’s brand and solutions. 
  • Lead PR for events, including press conferences, trade shows, conferences, and industry showcases, representing the company as a spokesperson.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team on creating, monitoring and reporting on KPIs to measure success of our PR efforts. 

Your skills. 

  • Ability to provide high level counsel about communications in different aspects including strategy, thought leadership building, media relations as well as issues and crisis management.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in developing materials including reports, communications plans, statements, press releases, and other supporting material.
  • Strong team-focused approach to collaboration; responsive and thoughtful in internal communications
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Natural self-starter who loves to get stuff done.

Your experience. 

  • At least four years of progressive experience in a public relations role for a PR firm or as an in-house PR specialist / manager. 
  • Proven track record of success in PR and communications, ideally with experience managing media relations for a B2B technology business.
  • Extensive experience partnering with external stakeholders on PR and communications for partnership announcements and product launches.
  • Existing media relationships with top-tier and industry media outlets.
  • Experience managing campaigns on social media and other channels.

Desired skills and experience. 

  • Passion for technology and cooking.
  • Experience working with startups and scaleups.
  • Tech-savvy with a strong online presence on one or more social networks to build relationships with media and influencers.

Expectations.
In 3 months, you’ll have developed relationships with key stakeholders, and gained an understanding of our target customers and solutions. You will also have developed a 6-month PR and thought leadership strategy. 

In 6 months, you’ll have executed on your 6-month plan and start to demonstrate results in the form of media placements and speaking opportunities.

  • 1st round with our Head of Communications and Brand Marketing & our VP of B2B Marketing in Growth/Marketing
    • We will cover your background and experience and how it relates to our skills requirements listed above 
  • 2nd round with our Chief Marketing Officer 
    • A chance to get to know who you will be working with, we'll cover some of your experience again but give you a chance to get to know us better and we will brief you on what we're looking for in our presentation round so you can be fully prepared.  
  • 3rd round is a Presentation
    • We'll share a topic for you to present on (presentation will be about 25 minutes and another 15/20 minutes for Q&A
  • Chat with our CEO
    • Our CEO will be a key resource for you to do your job, this is a chance for you to get to know them and them you. 

Full compensation is based on candidate experience and qualifications.

$80,000$100,000 USD
