Job Description:

We at Gateway.fm are looking for an accomplished and meticulous Accounting & Finance Manager to join our expanding team. In the role of Accounting & Finance Manager, you will be a central figure responsible for safeguarding the financial well-being of the company, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, and actively participating in shaping strategic financial planning initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support organizational goals.
  • Help prepare and present financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in coordinating the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and address inquiries.
  • Aid in developing and implementing financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks to optimize the company's financial position.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial expertise to assist in the development of business strategies.
  • Work with tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize the company's tax position.
  • Assist in contract review and negotiations, assessing financial implications and ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations, implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Provide regular financial updates and insights to executive leadership, addressing any financial concerns or opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and advisors on financial projects or special initiatives as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with banking institutions and financial partners to support the company's financial needs.
  • Utilize financial analysis and reporting tools to drive data-driven decision-making processes.

 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Proven working experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
  • Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent.
  • Advanced degree such as a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a finance specialization may be preferred.
  • Relevant certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) could be advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) may be beneficial.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and mentoring teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Diplomacy and tact when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking to contribute valuable insights in strategic planning sessions.
