Senior Product Manager - IoT (f/m/d)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) with IoT experience who will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle. You live and breathe evidence-based decision making, know how to work with a variety of stakeholders and balance their needs, have a transparent and collaborative communication style, an entrepreneurial mindset and you act like an owner. Internet of Things (IoT) is a key component of our smart home and smart building strategy. With a clear strategy in place, the IoT product manager will be key to driving this area of the business forward, enabling the smooth operations of our buildings and enabling other teams to deliver value to our B2B and B2C customers. The Senior Product Manager, IoT - will be responsible for driving forward our IoT products portfolio, ensuring a stable, robust, and cost-efficient set-up.  

What you'll be doing:

• You define the product roadmap for our IoT portfolio in coordination with other teams in the area that rely on the IoT layer for their products and your engineering partners. 
• You establish a clear view of customer needs, simplifying complex issues as well as oversee the analysis of customer requirements to define product strategy and identify product opportunities to expand market share and drive down cost. 
• You manage the lifecycle of new product and service development through launch - opportunity assessment, requirements definition, pricing, competitive analysis, and product launch and maintain a constant focus on product quality, cost and improvement.  
• You ensure the smooth integration of the IoT device installation in processes of our building production and assembly. 
• You write the Product Requirement documents that clearly define what is needed to create a competitive offering. 

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 
• 5-10 years of high-tech product management experience, around IoT, including taking products from concept to market 
• Demonstrated experience in working with complex technologies and defining requirements for internal and external services translating to shippable software using agile approaches  
• Strong product management skills to execute product or services initiatives, moving them from inception to launch to life-cycle management 
• Can spec and challenge embedded software and overall performance requirements related to IoT products  
• Strong analytical abilities, with experience interpreting complex data and translating it into actionable strategies. 
• English (and ideally German language) skills a must.
