OVERVIEW:

As Social Media Manager you’ll be in charge of our Founder & CEO’s social media accounts, responsible for growing his online presence. A varied and hands on role, you’ll be planning the strategy, creating and posting content, then analysing performance to better inform future direction. Bringing creativity and innovation to planned content ideas, you’ll also have the necessary technical skills to be able to react in the moment.

This role will be incredibly fast-paced, unpredictable and no two days will be the same. You’ll need to be extremely organised but comfortable flexing plans, confident in your skills and experience but also willing to adapt. You will get the opportunity to travel with CEO & the team to suppliers and events.

A rare opportunity as part of the CEO’s team, you’ll report into the CEO’s Brand Manager and work closely with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Therefore effective communication, the ability to build relationships and influence others is key.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Managing Ben’s Social Media Platforms:

  • Devise and deliver a Social Media Strategy to aggressively grow Ben's online presence
  • Create engaging, original content tailored to each platform (e.g., Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok) aligned with Ben’s brand guidelines and target audience
  • Ownership of Ben’s website and scheduling content posts across all social media channels
  • As a platform expert, you’ll monitor and report on social media channels trends, feedback, and identify new, creative opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams - Marketing, Design, and Content Creation -  to align social media strategy with overall business objectives & campaigns
  • Strategic review and refinement of the content strategy, reacting to the opportunity to propose and implement new initiatives

Photography and Imagery curation:

  • Capture high-end imagery using both camera & iPhone ‘in the moment’ but also plan, prepare and direct photoshoots
  • Organise and maintain a library of high-quality images for use across various social channels and communication channels, editing and retouching to enhance brand alignment as required
  • Keep up-to-date with photography trends, techniques, and equipment to continually elevate Ben brand's visual content.

Organisation & Planning:

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar and project timeline to ensure timely delivery of social media content using social media management platforms tools such as ‘hootsuite’
  • Deliver both weekly content updates & monthly, using analytics, wins, learnings, for each
  • Consistently review performance and opportunities for improvements

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Demonstrable experience in a social media role - ideally working on a personal brand previously
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator is essential) and ideally experience across multiple social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc)
  • Excellent organisational skills - to manage and monitor the posting schedules across all social channels using technology where possible, but also in maintaining the storage of imagery onto external hard-drives and the cloud for easy access when needed
  • Agility and problem-solving skills – you will be required to pivot and change direction on a frequent basis, with the ability to think creatively and drive new ideas
  • Risk Management awareness – whether it’s ensuring the use of copyright free material or an up-to-date understanding of political/ world/ business issues that may impact the content and timing of postings
  • Respect for the need for confidentiality – with access to sensitive and confidential information, you must be able to treat such information appropriately and with integrity
  • Excellent communication skills – you’ll get to work with multiple stakeholders, from senior business leaders to athletes to charity partners
  • A willingness to respectfully challenge others’ ideas and be prepared to adapt

 

LOCATION:

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK. BUT due to the nature of the role this needs to be flexible and working locations will change. Note that this will also include International trips with the CEO and Team.
