As a Specialist Neurodevelopment Practitioner - ADHD, you will play a pivotal role in our Neurodevelopmental Plus team providing high quality diagnostic assessments as well as in some areas, offering post-diagnostic support to help children, adults and their families understand their diagnosis.
You will be working autonomously to conduct elements of the assessment, with the support of a multidisciplinary team. This would include collating information across time and context to support your observations and your formulation of the assessment for discussion and conclusion. It would also be beneficial to identify in your application if you have experience of conducting other neurodevelopmental assessments.
What you need to have

- Clinical qualification in:

- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic)
- Mental Health/ Learning Disability Nursing
- Speech and Language Therapist

- Clinical registration with HCPC or NMC
- 2 years of post-qualification recent experience of delivering structured ADHD assessments including diagnostic observations, consideration of third party evidence and completing a full diagnosis formulation.
- An excellent understanding of ADHD and how this presents in children and young people, and adults; and the differential considerations.
- The ability to concisely capture the robustness of the diagnostic evidence that has been considered with the diagnostic formulation, through excellent report writing skills.
