Your mission: Building a scalable fund finance operations structure for a multi-billion-dollar alternative asset fund

In the role of Senior Fund Finance, you will play a crucial part in building a scalable fund operations structure that ensures the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our fund accounting activities, aligning with our long-term strategy.

Reporting directly to our CFO, this role requires a comprehensive understanding of regulated fund-of-funds operations; we partner with north of 50 elite GPs globally. It demands robust finance and accounting knowledge, as well as a keen ability to leverage technology for process improvements.

What you will be working on:

Transactions & Operations

• Handle the operations of RAIFs and co-lead with legal workstreams related to setting up operations, legal documents and new entities that are managing the placement or management of funds, leveraging this expertise to support our European market growth
• Manage and oversee day-to-day fund operations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Leverage our proprietary technology platform to enhance fund accounting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy

Performance Monitoring & Regulation

• Lead the calculation of fund’s Net Asset Value, Quarterly marks pre and post fees to investors, Carried interest
• Ensure data reliability through collaborative efforts across multiple teams, working closely with both Operations and the Tech team.
• Control and ensure that fund operations comply with the legal documentation in place and comply with local regulations

Controlling & Reporting

• Provide strategic finance and accounting support across the organization, contributing to overall financial optimization.
• Liaise with financial authorities, external service providers (e.g. auditor, depositary, tax advisors) as well as the other internal departments (e.g. Investing, Legal) to ensure the integrity of financial statements and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate tax reporting for fund of funds to investors ensuring deadlines are met

You have:

• 3-4 years of direct experience in fund accounting with a focus on FoF.
• Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles
• Deep understanding of fund operations, regulations, and compliance requirements, including expertise in RAIFs and Luxembourg funds.
• Significant experience in fund documentation analysis, especially related to fees, carry mechanisms, tax, and financial structures
