HiveMQ’s Vision for this role

As a Solution Engineer, you will partner with 3 - 4 North American Account Executives to bridge the gap between the technical and business aspects of our customers' needs. Your role as a technological guide and trusted advisor will span; preparing answers to product questions, giving demos, and enabling Proof of Concepts to showcase the value of our products. You will collaborate closely with members of our Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to provide comprehensive solutions that align with customer strategies.

The ideal candidate for this job should have most of the following:

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in customer requirements with internal stakeholders to produce clear plans of action and  novel solutions 
  • Strong presentation skills for customer meetings, webinars and conferences 
  • Strong experience  in IoT, “messaging” tech (eg MQTT), and networking (eg TCP/IP, Websockets)
  • Some experience in  enterprise security, reliability, interoperability, and observability
  • > 5 years overall experience, >2 years in engineering, >2 years in pre-sales
  • Able to work in Pacific Time and travel up to 25% (although it’s typically less)

You might also have:

  • Experience with Java, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Ansible/Tensorflow
  • Experience in Industry 4.0, SCADA, and Digital Transformation
  • Bilinguality (especially Spanish)
