About the role

We are looking for a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Lead who has experience working with large databases and data visualization tools, has experience with product analytics, knows how to translate business challenges into data solutions and has a track record of delivering insightful and structured data.

You’ll be the first Data hire in the team, and this IC role requires you to be hands on and help scale the team.

You will be working directly with a world class team, with people from companies like Uber, Talabat, Microsoft, SumUp, Loft and Careem


  • Creating the blueprint for data management so the databases can be easily integrated, centralized, and protected.
  • Designing, building, expanding, and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
  • Optimizing pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
  • Optimizing or even re-designing our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
  • Addressing particularly data anomalies and 'dirty' data will be of utmost importance for this team.
  • Proposing & Deploying a data architecture design i.e. data lake, data warehouse, ETL tools etc.
  • Fixing data anomalies of all major input sources i.e. SMS transactional data.
  • Communication and visibility throughout the whole organization and constant collaboration with Product, engineering and business teams
  • Help in building a fully functional data team.
  • Driving analysis on strategic decisions for multiple business areas.
  • Analyze A/B tests results, and support Product Managers with Product Analytics - 


  • 6-9 years experience in Data Analytics & BI, in a tech startup with an online product
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Aggregations, Database architecture, Joins, Query optimizations, Window functions)
  • Experience with Data Visualizations tools (Looker / Tableau / PowerBI or similar)
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Ability to build and optimize data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with ETL process
  • Nice to have: experience working with Product Analytics tools such as Segment, MixPanel, Firebase, Google Analytics
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Business acumen - understanding important product metrics, what to track / what not to track, advising on how to improve

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in early -stage startup preferred
  • Previous experience managing the team
