We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our fast-growing London Office. At IMC, the Compliance Officer enjoys a unique opportunity to work closely with our Trading, Legal, Risk and Technology teams, by providing expert compliance support to IMC’s FX and Commodity Options business. You will add value in playing a crucial role by ensuring our business operates and grows safely in accordance with exchange rules, regulations, and laws. You will be combining operational experience with regulatory knowledge to improve our compliance framework and monitoring processes. We are looking for someone with a critical, proactive and hands-on approach, who is keen to work with various in-house built and external systems and diverse data sets. The Compliance Officer will report directly to the UK’s Head of Compliance.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Providing compliance advice to IMC’s FX and Commodities traders;
- Monitoring our daily trading activity and communications surveillance;
- Investigating and responding to inquiries from exchanges and regulators;
- Managing the daily transaction reporting processes, such as MiFIR and EMIR;
- Interacting with exchanges to ensure correct trading registrations;
- Conducting compliance, anti-money laundering and market abuse risk assessments, and implementing key controls;
- Analysing business development projects and building strong compliance frameworks;
- Assisting with delivering Compliance training to IMC employees;
- Collaborating closely with other IMC global compliance teams.
Your Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of compliance experience in derivatives markets;
- Strong knowledge in FX and Commodity derivative trading rules;
- Experience in OTC/algorithmic trading compliance, and surveillance practices;
- Excellent understanding of UK trading rules and regulations;
- Knowledge of US listed derivatives is also a plus (CME, ICE, OCC);
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Self-driven, fast learner and ability to perform successfully in a fast-moving environment;
- Process minded and ability to drive improvements in IMC’s control framework.
