This role involves overseeing IT sourcing strategies for hardware, software, and services, collaborating with business stakeholders to align requirements and optimize procurement processes. Key responsibilities include running competitive solicitations, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and providing strategic guidance on technology sourcing trends. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in indirect sourcing, strong project management and negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and process improvements.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT sourcing strategy for hardware, software, and services and support other business categories like HR, consulting, and recruiting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, run RFPs/RFIs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Track cost savings, conduct market analysis, optimize spend, and ensure alignment with budget processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on technology trends, advise teams on sourcing strategies, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, including with legal, risk, finance, and global teams, to enhance sourcing and operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in a similar role with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Expertise in leading sourcing for hardware, software, and services, including RFPs, negotiations, and project management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills, with the ability to translate stakeholder needs into business outcomes and optimize sourcing processes.
- Deep knowledge of global technology trends and the 7-step sourcing process, with a focus on continuous improvement and mentoring team members
- Previous experience sourcing AI/ML hardware and software is a plus.
