Due to our growth ambitions, we are looking for a talented (mid/senior) Data Engineer in Tallinn, Estonia.
What do we work with?
Our tech stack consists out of; Snowflake · PostgreSQL · Oracle · AWS (S3, RDS, Glacier, Secrets manager etc.) · Spoon (moving => code-based ETL) · Tableau · Visual Cron (moving => Airflow) · Terraform/Schemachange and our languages (and use cases): · SQL (DDL, DML) · Python (UDF, Snowpark, CDC, DAG's etc) · Javascript (UDF)
What will you be doing?
- Refining requirements
- Data modelling
- Building new pipelines
- Porting existing PDI* jobs to UDFs using Snowpark+SQL
- Chance to influence our data platform transformation journey.
- Implement sound data governance principles
- Operations (check for daily job execution results, DQ status checks, ad-hoc fixes, code reviews etc..)
- Solution reviews
- Code reviews
- Code testing
Ideally you bring the following:
- Data modelling skills (3NF, Dimensional modelling etc)
- Strong skills and in depth knowledge of SQL
- Working knowledge of Python, Javascript
- Have experience in building, releasing, and maintaining ETL solutions.
- Good team player.
- Great at solving problems.
- Great communication skills
We do understand that nobody is perfect, but some bonus points if you have;
- If you know and have worked with Airflow, AWS, and Snowflake.
