Due to our growth and expansion ambitions, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance to join our dynamic and international team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader with a strong background in compliance to drive our compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in seamlessly aligning our business model with regulatory requirements while preserving our culture of innovation and fintech spirit.
As the Head of Compliance at Inbank, you will lead a team of compliance professionals in all countries where we operate and collaborate with other departments to mitigate risks and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s compliance program. You will develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
What will you be doing?
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the compliance team, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Establish policies and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across all business areas.
- Conduct regular monitoring of compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and response to inquiries.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends, advising senior management on potential impact and necessary actions.
- Collaborate with other departments, including legal, risk control, product and technology and business units, to address compliance-related issues and initiatives.
What we'd like to see in you:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organisation
- Several years of experience experience in compliance within the finance sector or start-up environment
- Open minded to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
- Ability and willingness to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
- Fluent written and verbal in Estonian and English.
