incident.io is an incident management platform that helps companies when things go wrong. Whether they're site outages, data breaches, or functionality issues, incidents happen literally all the time. When they do, we help get the right people in the room, we run and communicate how you're responding, and we give you a suite of tools and insights to learn and improve over time.
The Team
We have a phenomenal incident management product used by some of the most recognized companies in the world, and a huge amount of collective experience in incident management too.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to champion the elevation of incident.io through education, community engagement, and content creation, involving activities such as speaking at conferences, crafting compelling written pieces, and fostering engagement within engineering communities.
What you’ll be doing:
This is our first Developer Relations role at incident.io, and you will have a broad range of responsibilities and the ability to work with founding team to shape exactly how things will look, including:
Contributing to our blog and website, as writing is a collaborative effort across the company. We value thoughtful content over traditional "Thought Leadership," and we encourage your input, including tutorials and video content.
Engage with the community by participating in podcasts, webinars, meetups, and conferences, as we believe in the power of in-person interaction to connect with our audience.
Be a valuable presence in online communities, such as Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, and more. We prioritize genuine and informative discussions over corporate self-promotion, and finding a way to spark interesting and useful conversation is the goal.
Stay vigilant for emerging trends and gaps in the SRE and incident management field, understanding the nuances that ignite discussions, such as the distinctions between root causes and contributing factors.
This role could be ideal for you if you:
Have opinions on incident management, reliability, and related topics.
Love traveling and are energized by meeting new people
Enjoy producing and sharing content through conference talks, blog posts and video
Can communicate complex topics in a simple and clear manner
The salary for this position is determined by several job-related factors, such as experience, relevant skills, training, location, business needs, or market demands. The salary range for this role is $90,000- $150,000. This position also offers equity options.
