SALARY:               £47,000 – £52,000 depending on experience


The Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade is the premier association for exporters and importers, empowering organizations and individuals with the tools and knowledge required for effective, sustainable, and competitive international trade. 

We provide a comprehensive suite of memberships, qualifications, training, events, and advisory services for global trade professionals. In collaboration with the UK government, we set trade standards nationally and internationally. This summer, we will proudly become the Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade, highlighting our role and the professional status of our members in global trade.

We are now recruiting an experienced Developer, well versed in Low Code / No Code practices to join us. The role is remote although you may occasionally be required to visit either our London or Peterborough office. 



The role will be working within our newly formed and growing technology team and you will be responsible for executing on a range of projects to automate data transfer and exchange.

You will play a key role in the modernisation of our business operations, helping ensure better compatibility between our Management Information Systems.



  • Automation and Integration: Develop and maintain automated workflows using low code/no code platforms, in particular Airtable, to streamline business processes and data integration.
  • Data Management: Ensure seamless data transfer and integration across various business applications, improving efficiency and accuracy in data handling.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design innovative low code/no code solutions that enhance operational processes.
  • Execution and Implementation: Execute the development of business applications and automation projects, ensuring they meet the specified requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed solutions, troubleshooting issues as they arise and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Coding Protocols: Utilize knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JSON to enhance and customize solutions where necessary.
  • Business Acumen: Apply business/commercial understanding, particularly in marketing and CRM settings, to inform the design and development of solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure the alignment of IT solutions with business goals.



  • Bachelor’s degree. Ideally, in Computer Science, Information Technology, a STEM discipline or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Airtable and potentially tools such as Make or Zapier.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JSON.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and apply business/commercial acumen, particularly in marketing and CRM contexts.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement effective IT solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.

  • Candidates will have relevant certifications in low code/no code platforms or related technologies.
  • Experience with SCRUM or other Agile methods



  • 36.5 hours per week including 4pm Friday finish
