Mission Brief 

As our People Operations Specialist, you’ll be working in the People Operations & Analytics team to manage our employees’ journey and support our current workforce. Together with your team you will ensure to provide a holistic approach to business goals using customized people tools and strategies. You will report directly to the Head of People Operations & Analytics.  

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

  • Be an ambassador for the Isar Aerospace culture, working with the other members of the Talent team to initiate and manage projects that increase engagement, motivation, development, and retention.
  • You will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of HR tasks. This includes preparing and managing hiring paperwork, creating confirmations and letters for various HR matters, and managing time tracking to ensure accurate recording and processing of working hours.  
  • You will support the onboarding process for new employees by introducing them to company policies and procedures, as well as coordinate and conduct offboarding processes for departing employees.  
  • Additionally, you will manage and maintain employee benefits and perks, handle absence management including vacation and sick leave reporting, and maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • In the area of Global Mobility, you will support the planning and coordination of international employee transfers, ensure compliance with visa and work permit requirements, and provide advice and support to employees on international assignments.   
  • You will independently plan, execute, and monitor HR projects aimed at improving and optimizing HR processes and systems. This includes developing and implementing new HR initiatives and programs, and collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to achieve project goals. 

Qualification Checklist 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, psychology or related degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of Generalist experience within Talent/Human Resources/People Operations preferably within payroll and an understanding of collective employment law - Nice to have: ideally in a start-up environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage tasks and time. 
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle confidential information. 
  • Driven and target-oriented with analytical problem solving skills. 
  • Strong relationship building skills, high in empathy. 
  • Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail.
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills.  
  • Fluent in English and German.
