The Jonsson Manufacturing team is responsible for bringing our garments to life by consistently producing high quality products in order to serve our customers brilliantly. Part of Jonsson Manufacturing will be based in Eswatini where we are building a state-of-the art facility which will include cutting-edge technology and machinery, supporting us on the pursuit to find like-minded people to drive this revolutionary business.

 

The Senior Operations Leader will play a pivotal role in the comprehensive leadership of the manufacturing operations in Eswatini ensuring that raw material supply, planning and manufacturing resources are aligned and synchronised for on time in full delivery of our product, allowing our customers to always be delighted by our product quality and speed of delivery.  

 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Strategically align production and resources to meet financial budgets and customer demand in an OTIF (On Time In Full) way.
  • Ensure overall manufacturing objectives of Lead Time, Efficiency, Quality, Safety and Cost are met.
  • Ensure continuous improvement programmes throughout the operations are carried out by Operations Leaders.
  • Ensure that the Jonsson Manufacturing values are upheld, and that the operational team achieve their objectives.
  • Maintain an uncompromising approach to quality and ensure our standards are brilliantly met across all production processes.
  • Up-skill and coordinate training on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee that the Operations Team practice and maintain safe working procedures, whilst ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Engage in ongoing coaching with staff.

 

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • Related tertiary qualification in production management and financial control.
  • Sound working knowledge of technical garment construction and line balancing; with strong work-study background preferred.
  • Extensive clothing manufacturing experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Comfortable with data analytics.
  • Experience in TQM (Total Quality Management) in the clothing manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis and problem solving in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • The ability to identify, develop and implement permanent solutions through collaboration with multi-disciplinary task teams.
  • Computer literate in MS Office and MS Excel.
  • Is fluent in spoken and written English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Valid passport.
