About the role

As Senior Finance Manager, your mission is to establish an exemplary Finance department tailored to our needs and lead strategic initiatives such as forecasting and financial modeling to support important decision-making processes and ensure sustained success. You will diligently oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring efficiency across Accounts Receivable, Payable, Payroll, and beyond. By optimizing company-wide financial processes, partnering with leadership to align strategies, and providing mentorship for team growth, you will help the management to drive the organization towards its goals. You will be reporting directly to Neil Coleman.

 

What you will do:

  • Forecasting and financial modeling: Delivery of forecasting and financial models as required to manage the day to business and future strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports for senior leadership and investors as required. Improve the efficiency of financial reporting, providing timely insights to C-level executives through automated processes and detailed analysis of budget variances, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
  • Liquidity management: Monthly reporting of liquidity to C-level executives, enhancing automation and integration with BI tools for efficient data analysis.
  • Accounting: Ensure accuracy and alignment of financial statements with company objectives, including maintaining targeted gross profit margins and adherence to cash flow principles.
  • FP&A and budgeting: Lead the budgeting process, updating financial projections with actuals and collaborating with department heads to refine forecasts.
  • Invoice management: Oversee and optimise the handling of invoices, exploring automation opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Taxes: Assist with tax preparation and filing, including individual and corporate tax returns, in collaboration with an external partner/service provider
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process enhancements within the internal finance function and also external partners, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure meticulous adherence to regulatory tax requirements and accounting standards to guarantee flawless compliance across all company deliverables, including but not limited to annual accounts, tax filings, and regulatory reports.

 

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent certification in Accounting, Tax, or Finance
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a similar role
  • Very good understanding of tax regulations is preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software, coupled with a solid grasp of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
  • Familiarity with both national and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Exceptional analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality output within strict deadlines
  • Very good communication skills in both German and English
