In this role you will be in charge of all the marketplace sourcing strategy and execution, you will be leveraging local human resources and tech resources to increase the high quality assortment in Jumia and engage the merchants onboarded​

 

Responsibilities

  • Define the acquisition strategy for the group, for Ecommerce and On Demand Services: This implies assortment gap analysis, market research, internal data analysis, competition benchmark
  • Steering acquisition performance (# leads, time to go live, lead to live and live to active)
  • Steer the acquisition performance at channel level to foster the number of relevant sellers coming to Jumia
  • Revamp all the training ecosystem at Jumia to ensure the most efficient onboarding and self training for sellers
  • Protect the CXP regarding newly onboarded sellers with incentives and restrictive measures
  • Ensure that all the sellers and assortment onboarded are compliant to local and international laws
  • Improve processes to reduce time to go live, make new sellers active, improve the quality of new seller operations
  • Wave every acquisition blocker to increase self-signup successful onboarding
  • Improves the operational flows to manage Leads, registered sellers and new live sellers
  • Improve the technology supporting the onboarding of new sellers
  • Works closely with Product development team to create the tech roadmap for acquisition and incubation (starting by self sign up features)
  • Innovate and develop solutions to maximize the chances for new sellers to sell (minimum traffic allocation, etc.)
  • Develop automatic control measures to protect the CXP and ensure the right quality level (e.g auto cancel features for ODS)
