About the role

As Country Manager for Senegal, you will,

  • Drive overall top line and profitability development
  •  P&L ownership
  • Develop strategic development plans to drive the growth of emerging verticals; as well as other opportunities for scalability and growth
  • Maintain strong relations and partnerships with the wider ecosystem: strategic brands, vendors, logistics partners and regulatory bodies
  • Deliver measurable results linked to the project you are in charge of,  ensure regular reporting of your actions and results and drive activity analysis
  • Manage the team efficiency and cohesion and create an unparalleled environment for your team’s development and happiness
  • Lead and coach the next generation of leaders to inculcate the next phase of a high-performance culture that drives scale, impact and opportunity across Jumia Senegal

 

Requirements for the role

  • Strong experience (minimum >8 years) in managing complex projects / objectives / business units / functions
  • Strong local knowledge and deep understanding of consumers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Developed management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams efficiently
  • Hands-on & results oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Independent and entrepreneurial, yet confident in working in a matrix organization
  • Long-term strategic mindset
