About the Company
JumiaPay is Africa’s latest online payment solution. We are revolutionizing the way for payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet.
JumiaPay aims to create a game-changer solution on the Continent to help digitalize the finance industry in Africa: payments, mobile money, credit solutions, scoring, and other promising sectors.
We are handling all online payments for Jumia Group, a leading e-commerce platform in Africa, in Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, and Uganda, and will start onboarding third-party merchants later this year.
About the Role
This role reports to the JumiaPay Managing Director for Africa.

You will be responsible for supporting the JumiaPay Managing Director for Africa in overseeing and managing the company's operations, finances, and strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the JumiaPay Managing Director to develop and execute the company's strategic plans and initiatives in the FinTech industry.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the company's financial technology products and services, ensuring that business objectives are met and performance targets are achieved.
- Manage and coordinate the financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Lead and manage teams across the organization, ensuring that staff are motivated, engaged, and supported to deliver excellent performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and industry associations.
- Ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the FinTech industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of delivering results and driving change in the FinTech industry.
- Excellent communication (fluent in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others, including colleagues, customers, and external partners in the FinTech industry.
- Sound financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, financial analysis, and forecasting in the FinTech industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement change in the FinTech industry.
