What you will be doing
- Work closely with our logistics providers to ensure top-notch End to End logistics from the seller country to our warehouse;
- Prepare all documents required for overseas shipments;
- Work with our warehouse and logistics teams to reduce average delivery time to our customers;
- Liaise with our Finance team to ensure all the invoices and payments done to our logistic providers;
- Constantly improve our customer experience (packages, labels, delivery time etc.)
- Customs Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and manage all necessary customs documentation for overseas shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and Jumia’s internal policies.What we are looking for
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, international shipping laws, and tariffs that may impact the movement of goods. Ensure Jumia’s compliance with these regulations to avoid penalties and disruptions.
- Customs-Related Challenges & Issue Resolution: Proactively address any customs-related issues, including shipment delays, taxes, and tariffs, working with logistics providers and customs agents to resolve discrepancies.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in international warehousing or logistics and Supply Chain environment
- Customs regulations knowledge
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- Advanced English proficiency
- Strong relations between stakeholders, officers and management
- Excellent interpersonal & listening skills, diplomacy
- Ability to lead projects
