What you will be doing
- Managing E2E day to day operations including Last Mile, First Mile, Middle Mile and Network processes
- Organize all transportation needs for handling and shipping Jumia products
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels
- Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Challenging established processes and implementing new processes to adapt to the fast growth of Jumia's clients
- Finding creative and innovative ways to offer a better customer experience
- Fully understanding our information system and working with our IT team to roll our new developments
- Working closely with the Jumia central team to share and implement global best practices
- Responsible for meeting the global logistics targets and KPIs including quality of customer experience
- Analyze and report daily and monthly performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage
What we are looking for
- +5 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Sharp, outgoing and up to date individual
- Proficiency in English
- Willing to travel
