The Outbound Manager is crucial to direct the Outbound Operations to ensure accurate and timely picking/shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency. Ensure effective coaching methods throughout the outbound operations while maintaining all company rules, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Successful daily shipment of customer orders in alignment with the predefined targets
Zero-percentage error rate of customer orders
Be accountable and responsible for all picking slips in circulation
Ensure that all customers orders are picked and shipped within the applicable timelines
Successful management, growth and development of the picking and packing team
Drive and implement process optimization to ensure for maximum output
Sufficient and successful management of the 3rd Party Logistics Service Provider
Manage all resolve all picking errors within the predefined lead times
Provide daily reporting on output
Provide constructive insight and feedback if targets are not reached
Responsible and managing of all customer shipping queries within an acceptable timeframe
Required Qualifications
Bachelors. Degree (Logistics- supply chain,) or a good degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 4 years FMCG, or warehouse management or order management experience
Ability to, efficiently, deploy the workforce to meet deadlines across the Outbound operation.
Prioritization of workflow of picking and packing teams to meet daily targets
Optimize planning to maximize uses of resources.
Experience with identifying deficiencies in the systems and processes and be able to identify and articulate changes that will improve the efficiency of the outbound operation.
