The Head of Cost Efficiency and Audits - Group at Jumia will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations through strategic audits and cost efficiency initiatives. This position is responsible for improving fulfillment performance metrics, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance and risk management across the supply chain. The role requires a collaborative leader who can work across departments to enhance processes, systems, and technologies.
What you will be doing:
● Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain performance metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
● Conduct comprehensive audits across the supply chain to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
● Analyze fulfillment and logistics data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, developing action plans and initiatives to address performance gaps.
● Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fulfillment operations, taking proactive measures to optimize performance and reduce costs.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Customer Service, and IT, to align initiatives with business objectives.
● Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects to enhance fulfillment processes, leveraging automation, data analytics, and best practices.
● Develop and implement training programs to build capability and enhance the skills of fulfillment teams, improving performance and productivity.
● Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, promoting employee engagement and accountability for results.
● Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, external vendors, and partners to drive collaboration and alignment.
● Prepare and present regular reports on fulfillment performance to senior management, highlighting achievements and opportunities for improvement.
What we are looking for:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
● 5+ years of experience in fulfillment operations, supply chain management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving operational performance improvement.
● Strong knowledge of fulfillment processes, systems, and best practices, with experience in e-commerce, retail, or logistics industries preferred.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify root causes of performance issues, and develop data- driven solutions.
● Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
● Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering tangible business outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
● Experience with performance management tools, systems, and methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management (TQM), is a plus.
