What you will be doing:

 

  • Conceptualize and execute exciting campaigns throughout the year, collaborating cross-functionally with Jumia teams:
    • Create promotional campaigns on the Jumia interface (Seller Center).
    • Send regular communications to sellers.
    • Organize Webinars to encourage sellers to offer promotions.
    • Create notifications on the Jumia interface (Seller Center).

 

  • Drive marketplace sales:
    • Call sellers to encourage them to participate in promotional campaigns.
    • Collect promotions from sellers and present them internally (CP, Marketing).
    • Call salespeople to negotiate certain discounts.

 

  • Education and support for sellers:
    • Track the score of sellers detected by the VXP service.
    • Handle requests from certain sellers wishing to increase their sales and visibility.
    • Take initiatives by proposing areas for improving the seller experience.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Top-tier Engineering school, or top-tier Business school with clear analytical profile (prior experience in tech/finance a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and willingness to be immersed in an very international and entrepreneurial environment
  • Sharp, analytical mind and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Data analytics project and experience are a must, knowledge of the basic optimization algorithms (ideally previous experience in big data, marketing tech, etc)
  • Previous experience in digital marketing or data analytics 
  • Well organized and ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects
  • Proficiency in advanced excel mandatory, JavaScript / google app scripts is a plus
  • Level headed and can express ideas in a clear and impactful manner
