We are seeking a Group Financial Reporting Expert to join our dynamic team. As a leading eCommerce platform across the African market, we are looking for an individual who can manage and enhance our financial reporting processes while collaborating with key stakeholders across our diverse operations. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the financial narrative of a major eCommerce player in Africa.
What you will be doing
- Steering the performance of the assigned sellers pool towards achieving the preset targets and objectives
- Managing relationships with new and current sellers (includes talking to them every day and developing rapport)
- Obtaining weekly-promotion items from sellers
- Securing new releases as soon as the sellers have them
- Monitoring stock levels and planning the replenishment with the seller well in advance.
- Negotiating pricing and deals for Tier 1 Campaigns – Jumia Anniversary, Black Friday
- Having accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have and their products.
- Monitoring account health and performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to sellers
- Monitoring and address any issues or concerns raised by clients promptly and effectively
What we are looking for:
- Seller management or Purchasing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Knowledge of suppliers of category products is an added advantage.
- Proactive and has proven ability to deliver exceptional results despite operational challenge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power -point) tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Good problem-solving skills required
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets, can prioritize tasks under pressure.
