We are seeking a Group Financial Reporting Expert to join our dynamic team. As a leading eCommerce platform across the African market, we are looking for an individual who can manage and enhance our financial reporting processes while collaborating with key stakeholders across our diverse operations. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the financial narrative of a major eCommerce player in Africa.
As Head of Acquisition & Incubation for Jumia Ghana, you will be at the core of Jumia Mall strategy.
Jumia is indeed a pure marketplace, relentlessly growing its base of happy and engaged sellers, the services we provide them with, the assortment Jumia offers to its customers. You will be In charge of one of the most critical parts of our marketplace, the acquisition of sellers and their first 30 days live on Jumia. You will shape the way we acquire and train thousands of sellers; Using all levers to make them grow while ensuring their operation excellence remains perfect to protect our CXP.
What you will be doing
- Reaching your targets on:
- Number of new live Vendors on our platform
- % of those new live vendors ending up their 30 days acquisition period with more than 15 SKUS live
- % of order cancellation for new live vendors
- Assortment created by your newly acquired sellers
- Achieved net merchandise value target for new active vendors
- Tightly monitoring acquisition performance per acquisition channel:
- From number of leads to live sellers
- From live sellers to active sellers
- Monitoring the average time for a new seller to go live
- Developing new acquisition channels to sustain Jumia seller acquisition ambition
- Optimizing all systems, processes and tools to ensure we acquire, activate and retain a maximum number
- Promoting Jumia Advantage Program to all new sellers, program giving strong incentives to sellers to grow their sell out as well as to improve their operational KPIs
- Driving the “Sell on Jumia” branding and marketing strategy
What we are looking for candidates who are/have:
- A first Degree from a reputable and accredited university
- 4+ years experience in consulting or e-commerce
- Performance oriented
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Structured
- Well organized
- Resistant to stress
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Proactive and has proven ability to deliver exceptional results despite operational challenge

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
